Government selects Initforthe for Digital Outcomes and Specialists Framework

What it means for us, and our clients

This week, the list of suppliers for the UK Government's Digital Outcomes and Specialists Framework was released. I'm pleased to announce that Initforthe is on that list, for both the Digital Outcomes and Digital Specialists parts of the framework.

We're extremely proud to have been accepted onto the Framework and are looking forward to helping the government deliver on its goals of a more integrated and better connected public service. Of course, we'll also help them meet their SME spending goals too!

One of the requirements for being accepted on the framework is the capability to "work in an Agile way". But what does that mean? Note the capital A in Agile too. It's not just about being flexible.

Agile has been taken up by the UK Government wholeheartedly. Projects in government have historically gone way over budget, after an initial low "bait" quote by a supplier. Agile prevents this, at the same time as ensuring that value is delivered back to the taxpayer faster.

Initforthe has been a practitioner of Agile (Scrum in our case) for four years now. We fervently believe it provides the best return on investment for our clients when delving into the deep dark world of software.

We'll be putting together a series on Agile and how it can benefit your business in the coming weeks. Sign up to our mailing list to be kept up to date. If you'd like to know more in the meantime, please get in touch.
