This is the 21st century, if you do not have business process management on board to aid you in the operations of your business, then what are you doing? Today, we are going to share a real-life case study from the time we worked with Train Aid Training Company to completely transform and modernise the way their business runs. Do not be a slave to old, outdated operations, instead, say hello to new and innovative technology that will serve your business with nothing but endless benefits. Let’s jump right into this case study!

Train Aid is a learning and development provider located in Reigate, Surrey. They offer a wide range of quality online and venue-based training courses covering vital programs such as first aid, teacher training, assessment, and health and safety. From the get-go, their vision was clear, they knew they wanted to stand out in the extremely overcrowded market of aid training. But like millions of businesses, Train Aid was still using the dreaded spreadsheets.

Spreadsheets are a thing of the past. Using a spreadsheet can be extremely detrimental and cause your business to lose thousands of pounds and an abundance of precious time. This is because, for one, spreadsheets have limited scalability, meaning it can become unwieldy difficult to manage data as complexity increases. Two, they are much more likely to make errors. And three, it makes team collaboration next to impossible, especially if you have a big team.

So, Train Aid came to us to help ease the spreadsheet minefield they had gotten themselves into. They had spreadsheets for payments, bookings, classroom registers, certificate delivery, and more. We know, confusing, right? It was all getting a bit too much for them, and mistakes were occurring frequently.

Then, here at Initforthe, we proposed one system to rule them all! Starting with booking management, we allowed the business to manage all bookings from one place, integrating Stripe for payments. Since then, we have added payment plans, course marking, and classroom registers. We have helped streamline and simplify their process and finally said good riddance to the horrors of a spreadsheet.

You Don’t Have an AI Strategy. You Have a Dependency

Many businesses are moving quickly with AI, but speed can hide fragility. When a workflow quietly becomes dependent on one model, one provider, and one set of behaviours nobody controls, useful experimentation can turn into operational risk.

In this post, we explore why AI strategy is not about picking today’s best model, but building the architecture, context, and control to adapt when models change.

You bought Lean Six Sigma and it didn’t change a thing

If Lean Six Sigma did not materially change how work flows through your organisation, that was not bad luck. It was a choice. This article argues why optimisation is the wrong response to a broken operating model, and why redesign is now a matter of survival, not preference.
